Career Choice has helped over 40,000 employees in 14 countries pursue qualifications both inside and outside of Amazon. The range of qualifications is broad: some of the activities do not require a formal qualification, others require extensive experience in cutting-edge research. University graduates and young professionals can also apply - for example, for one of the numerous positions for brand specialists or marketplace account managers who advise brand manufacturers or Italian SMBs and maintain relationships with them.

"I didn't expect that my degree in biotechnology could open the doors of the Amazon Development Centre in Turin but I wanted to work there and so I sent my CV" reports Elisa Reale, Research Scientist at Amazon Development Centre in Turin. "My profile was very different from what was requested in the job description but as soon as I arrived, I realized there was nothing strange. One of the strengths of Amazon is the knowledge that different points of view and different backgrounds help to innovate. Studying sciences allowed me to develop soft skills such as learning speed, adaptability, mental flexibility that were appreciated in the selection phase."

Riccardo Silva, Operations Manager at the Castel San Giovanni (Piacenza) Fulfillment Center said: “I started at Amazon eight years ago as a warehouse worker. Over the years, I gained new skills and did a number of different jobs that have brought me to where I am today, managing an area of the facility. Amazon is a company that is on the move, and allows you to grow right along with it. They give each one of us the chance to make a difference and be part of the change at hand.

“Personally, I feel lucky to had the opportunity to attend an apprenticeship with Amazon, because that is what I love to do since I was a child. I recommend to all those who love this field, the world of mechanics and RME technicians, if they have the opportunity, to try it, for personal growth and a future perspective, to develop new ideas, learn about new technologies and share the acquired knowledge with everyone,“ said Giulio Petrace, mechatronics apprentice at Sortation Center in Casirate D’Adda.
