To meet customer demand, we expect to create 12,000 jobs in 2019, growing to 95,000 Amazonians in Europe. This follows the 18,000 new roles last year. You can discover more about the latest jobs figures here.

Matching our jobs growth, we invest heavily in Europe. From 2010-2018, we invested €55bn on infrastructure, real estate, services, jobs and content.

"Our investments and jobs creation shows our deep roots right across Europe. From IT software engineers to associates in our new Fulfilment Centres, there are thousands of opportunities in over 100 locations,” said Amazon’s Vice President for EU Retail, Xavier Garambois.

Our development centres in over 16 locations across Europe pioneer our innovation, with new or expanded teams in locations like Cambridge, Turin, Barcelona and Berlin. They focus on research and development for Amazon's global customers on topics like Alexa, Machine Learning and Prime Air.

In total, there are now more than 125 sites across Europe, including corporate offices, technology development centers, customer and seller service operations, logistics infrastructure and AWS data center regions.

All our employees receive an attractive compensation and benefits package and career progression opportunities from day one. Current openings are on Amazon.jobs Amazon also offers fulfilment center associates an innovative program called Career Choice which provides funding for adult education, offering to pre-pay 95% of tuition and associated fees for nationally recognized, in-demand courses, up to 8,000 euro over four years.

Partnering with small and medium-sized firms to export across Europe and the world as sellers on Amazon also continues to grow. We estimate this has created over 200,000 jobs for people who started, or are growing their businesses, by selling on Amazon.

Amazon in Luxembourg now has over 2.200 employees situated in our European headquarters.
