Prime Day: Amazon biggest shopping event of all time
Prime Day sales this year surpassed Cyber Monday, Black Friday, and the previous Prime Day, making it the biggest shopping event in Amazon history.
Prime members enjoyed more time to shop and to save than ever before as for the first time Prime Day extended from 30 hours to 36 hours, with more than one million deals exclusively for Prime members around the world.
Prime Day 2018 also marked the introduction of Prime Day launches, never-before seen new and limited edition products available just for Prime members.

Sales surpassed Cyber Monday, Black Friday, and the previous Prime Day, when comparing 36-hour periods. It has been a great experience for Prime members as well as small and medium sized businesses selling on Amazon, many of whom had their biggest day ever,” said Xavier Garambois, Amazon VP EU Retail.
During these busy 36h shopping activity, some of the most popular items purchased on the EU marketplaces included Fire TV stick in Italy, Bosch Cordless Drill in the UK, ScanDisk Ultra 64GB memory card in Spain, Osmart Zigbee Smart Plug in the Netherlands, Jamie Oliver Tefal pan in Luxembourg, Finish Dishwasher Tabs All in 1 Max in Italy, PlayStation Plus membership in Germany and Austria, PlayStation Plus 15 month subscription in France, ScanDisk Ultra 128GB memory card in Belgium.
Best-sellers worldwide were the Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote and Echo Dot – making this, with 12-hour early access to device deals, the biggest event ever for Amazon devices.
Thousands of small and medium-sized companies also experienced success on Prime day with some of our most popular deals purchased from sellers.
